Highliners Conference Sponsorship

 In commercial fishing, a highliner is someone that has had an outrageously successful run.

Their fish hold is full to overflowing and their success is evident to everyone that sees them

come into port. Their boat sits low in the water and, thus, the water line is high. From that

day forward they are known as a highliner.

The Southwest Alaska Municipal Conference is pleased to offer a consolidated

sponsorship opportunity that provides increased promotional exposure for participating member

businesses and organizations, streamlines sponsorship investments, and demonstrates

increased commitment to economic development and advocacy for Southwest Alaska.

A Highliner sponsorship offers year-round exposure to SWAMC members and Southwest

Alaska communities and businesses. Starting with SWAMCís premier annual event, the

Southwest Alaska Economic Summit, and continuing throughout the year with e-news

publications and recognition through workshops and other member communications, a

Highliner sponsorship provides ongoing recognition and exemplifies a commitment to the

economic future of Southwest Alaska.

Just like on a fishing boat, it takes a team to become a successful highliner. SWAMC Highliner

sponsorships offer five levels of participation: SKIPPERS, FIRST MATES, DECK MASTERS,

DECK HANDS and COFFEE BREAK SPONSORS. Each Highliner category offers a package

of benefits and recognition commensurate with the sponsorship investment. SWAMC Highliner

categories, benefits and values are outlined in a specific document for each conference season.
